NewsNation media contributor Colby Hall said there is merit to criticizing the 2024 presidential debate moderators to a degree. He explained that it is situational, though, and some things could have been corrected by the moderators that weren't and vice versa.

The moderators were so blatantly biased and it wasn't just the fact checking, Harris evaded question after question and the moderators just moved on and I don't support Trump. Nobody won this debate because of it.

Waah Waah! Kamala Harris doesn’t have a notorious reputation of disregarding fact and reality nor does she have a habit of having a conveniently short memory. They were prepared to fact check the person that has desperately needed fact checked for nearly a decade in politics now. I don’t see that as her fault.
It did seem a bit biased when it comes to principle which is why I believe that both candidates should’ve agreed to this debate and one on Fox News.
However, this does not change the fact that she made him seem like an immature, repetitive amateur by leading him into multiple traps and seeming completely immune to his gish-galloping debate approach.
The answer to every single question can’t be that dangerous people are pouring across the border. Every issue, whether it be abortion, the economy, foreign policy in the Middle East and Ukraine, or January 6th, he kept going back to the southern border. He seemed completely disinterested in trying to sway undecided voters, and he doubled down on preaching to his voter base.
That’s not what logical, undecided voters want to hear. They want to hear questions being answered, not the same thing they’ve heard four times already and just heard five minutes prior.
Favoritism or not, Kamala Harris, clearly came out the better of the two last night and very likely sealed the election this November.

For me, this election has been so much more about the media than it has been about the candidates. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Trump and I think he totally laid an egg in this debate. But overall, so much of the media, including these moderators, totally in the tank for Harris.

If you wanna say she should’ve been fact-checked or pushed more then sure I can agree to that but the idea that no fact checking should be done during a debate of this magnitude is laughable and embarrassing as a country.
