I have the Mini 2 and the Air 2 love them both no need to upgrade. Well if only DJI made the new Dji rc controller compatible with these two drones definitely I will buy it immediately!!!

1m28 Very good side-by side shot of the front of both drones showing the Pro has very different (bigger) cooling slots behind the camera.
Also the gimbal tilt axis arm on the 3 appears chunkier than the Pro.

Looks like a nice drone, but with a dedicated rc it will impossible to run the maven app, which is my favorite drone app

I would be very interested in seeing a comparison of the low light capabilities when recording video on the mini 3 and mini 3 pro! Is there a difference? Both have the same size sensor but the mini 3 has 12 MP compared to the pros 48. Will this mean that the mini 3 has less noise? If yes; is this negated by the higher ISO on the mini 3 pro? (pro: 6400 vs mini 3: 3200)
Low light will be the deciding factor for me when upgrading from the mini 2 to one of the mini 3 versions.

Flew my Mavic Mini today over a local reservoir. Still fun to fly and half decent photos. Should I upgrade to this Mini 3? I used to be indecisive but now I’m not so sure 🙄.

DJI makes the best drones that even their entry-level ones are at par with other brands in terms of quality. You definitely can't go wrong with DJI!

as a mini 2 owner I don't believe the price is worth upgrading to the mini 3, not even spec wise. I might upgrade to a 3 pro once the used market drops in price.

For me the vertical shooting mode made me get the Mini 3 Pro. I would've loved the Mini 3 if it had come out earlier but oh well. True 4k vertical is a huge plus for my use case.

Of course, I like the video. I bought the 3 which is arriving tomorrow, but it's my first time using a drone. However, my footage in my videos is usually coming from a Sony A7Siii. Just wondering if color matching would be an issue or if the footage will look very different. Also that tracking seems like a good option, but I can't compromise fly time and low light capability. Very tough decision to make here between the 3 and 3 Pro.

I learned with the DJI Tello but I came to really call myself a "pilot" after getting the Mavic Mini. Three years later I'm still getting the DJI Mini 3!

I would say the pro would be better for a beginner as it has more sensors.

The Mini 3 "standard" might be a better drone with the exception of the missing obstacle avoidance. Note the "legs" on the "standard" which is probably where DJI has routed the antennae which in turn should provide better drone/controller signal and better range. The Mini 3 PRO, in my experience has the poorest range of any DJI drone I've owned, possibly with the exception of the Mini 1 as the controller signal strength drops out far earlier than the stated range on paper.
