What a great project. I have tried to use this sensor but do not get any sensible readings. What i am trying to do is exactly what you have done, congrats for that. I would like to be able to measure vibration of an item but be able to take two readings from different places so having two sensors is perfect. Are you able to post a build video with wiring diagram and the code. If so i will build a micro version of your sensor board post it online and of course credit you for it. This will be my first real project other than playing with leds. Many thanks inadvance

I am really interrested in this concept. I feel the 3D thinking that is required with accelerometers  is so challenging and I would love to work with this code ( if you would share it of course :) ). The graphing you did in the 1st video was amazing to see what was happening during different actions. The 2nd video you did a bang up job fabricationg the layout . I too like to build things in such a way that they can be used, put to the side and then revisited if a new idea comes up.
Either way, you have a new follower and keep up the great work !

Looks grate! Just came up with the same idea a few days ago. I want to be able to see the G load real time on a LED matrix that I can put in front of a go pro in my dads race car. I also would want it to log data on to an SD card like you have. But I would like to try and use processing to build a program that can crunch the numbers into graphs automatically. Also The idea of the button to leave a data point would be grate to use as a lap time indicator.

Nice project and excellent construction. Very tidy how you've made a new partition for each logging session. I'd like to have a try at making my own version is there any possibility I can get hold of the sketch you wrote?
