The general consensus is that the "second" microphone on the back of the controller is for noise-cancelling for the front main mic.

I reccomend getting these controllers. They are very ergonomic and comfortable to use compared to the dual shock ones. So you can game longer without feeling sore wrists and fingers.

that grip texture would be hard to machine and take a very long time.
they may of had someone meticulously stamp the shapes into the mold surface as it looks imperfect but even that would take a long time.
no company would go through the headache of copying it. which is brilliant for the trademark protection.

I think it’s a great controller. The only thing I’m concerned about is the longevity of the sensors and stick drift. The PS4 controllers gave me an awful time with stick drift. I had a few that did it to me
