I enjoyed my stay in Tokyo & Osaka too. While in Osaka, I made a daytrip to Kobe, just one train ride. Then on the next day, daytrip to Kyoto, & next day daytrip to Nara. Just one trwin ride each.

For Osaka 2 day is enough for me it's Dotonbori, Osaka Castle, Nara and Kobe? The reason for not going to Kyoto is I respect geisha and I don't want them to be interrupted.

um, ... I think ...Osaka Castle is utterly artificial ...it has been utterly destroyed so many times! ... anyway, if you go to Osaka Historical Museum and use the stairs you can get really good perspective from that place ! ... I think maybe you might like nearby Sakai better ...
