Facebook has been 'terrible' at fact checking, says Utah internet provider

Facebook announced an effort to steer people away from misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic on Thursday. Their strategy? Send a gentle message to people who like or share false information from suspect sources.

Charley Chaplin did a lookalike-contest and he also showed-up on the lookalike-contest, but he lost the contest.

I don't know this story is true, .. but it could have happened.

IT CAN HAPPEN that what is true, can be seen as absolutely false. And a fake can be seen as the ultimate truth (even after a fact-check)!

I get why people still watch YouTube, it’s entertaining, Facebook and Instagram are just trash but there’s plenty of people superficial and dumb enough to keep them in business forever 😞

It was not better before the internet. I was living in a small town at the time and a lot of people was believing incredible things. An "information source" was considered sure when the guy was talking with conviction. Things as not changed.
