During the stretch from mid may to the end of June, I was out storm chasing every setup, and for a while it seemed like tornadoes were extinct in tornado alley. Did I eventually see a tornado? Watch the documentary/video and you'll see...

Weather has been extremely unpredictable recently. A few days ago there were 4 tornadoes in Wisconsin and Wisconsin wasn’t even under tornado risk or severe weather risk at all

A more likely theory is that the tornado prone areas are shifting. Or the tornado prone areas are actually increasing in size. And la nina is messing up some stuff too

If not clickbait it's close. Anyone who has spent much time studying US tornado history knows it tends to be cyclical, and all that's happening is that we're in between the busy periods; they're never going to "go extinct". The weather which allows tornadoes to form will keep happening so the possibility will always be there. The time for prolific tornadoes and outbreaks will come again but nobody can say exactly when that will happen.

As a Texan I can certify they are certainly not extinct 😂

No way that lightning barrage is awesome! It's crazy how loud it is even on the video, I cant imagine how it would've felt in real life

One of those fruitloop dinguses you spoke of rear-ended my truck, thankfully my trailer hitch prevailed. Great video, Chris!

Excellent video as always man. I hope this gives people some perspective on just how hard it is to see a tornado and the other wonders to see along the way. Had a blast with you this year regardless of the outcome. 2023 here we come 💪

That “blob of disappointment” did serious tree damage throughout my neighborhood. Wasn’t fun.

To be honest isn’t better that a spinning cloud of death isn’t ripping your house apart

Sometimes the SPC will issue a certain risk for forecasted severe weather. However, the atmosphere doesn’t always correlate with the forecast due to various factors. And i think that’s what happened a lot over the last couple years. It’s been active for sure given the La Niña. But forecast don’t always work out the way we expect them to. The atmosphere has a mind of its own at the end of the day.

Great video!
Glad the algorithm lead me here.
Here in Southern New England seeing great storms is rare and even the tiniest of thunderstorms is appreciated. I envy your opportunity to view these amazing storms!

Tornadoes were my biggest fear and worst nightmare when I was little 😰
They still scare me 😟.

Remember when Illinois was in the dead of winter of winter last year, then it warmed up for a few days and a bunch of Tornados spawned which trashed some warehouses before freezing over again? This crap is getting insane.

You should've gone to the Texas panhandle in late May. There was a decent crop of tornadoes. I was headed out to Colorado down that way, on vacation, and we drove right under a supercell that spawned an EF1. Amarillo was hit by an EF3 or so by the same system if I recall correctly.

Watching this video after the first week of April already tells me this dude probably should stop using click bait titles.

6:24 I love how he says it like he’s experienced lightning barrages that he hasn’t survived.

There was a tornado warning on May 22, 2022, due to a derecho hitting southern Ontario which is where I am and I got stuck in a Walmart for 3 hours waiting for the storm to pass. Luckily I didn't get directly hit as the tornado was further north and the severe weather risk was only slight but there were 4 confirmed tornadoes where the largest one was an ef2.

nothing has been what we expected in terms of weather. From the hurricane season to Wisconsin less than a week ago, it's just been toying with us
