Thank you, now I just undrestand why we ( Iranians ) made this kind of Laser 12 years ago but yours is most powerful than we designed and test it befor 12 years ago as was only 100KW but I know they steal working to better designing by my feriends in Iran ministery of defence I was one of the Team in electronic part of this weapons and I remember this was very dificulte for me to designing power of that system as I push to make it by used shearing 50 SMPS toghether and they need somthing unbliveble at first for me !! They told me we need output have 120KW with a carier frecuency 200Mhz in the output . Today I am tayerd from my job in the Iranian MOD but I respect to your engeaniers as I know dificulty exsist in souch designings and I think now we are in same point in this tecnology if we was not better than your countrys by my high respect to every one who try to be a small part in defence from his country and hope to never need to used this weapons agains each other and can living in peacfull world by humanity.

instead of using the laser to heat up the target of hypersonic missiles, wouldnt it be more energy efficient to use the laser to ionize the path to the target, and then route a massive electrical pulse to fry the missiles circuitry? basically hitting it with a lightning bolt guided by an ionized pathway of air molecules.

Need to concentrate extreme resources to a satellite laser with highest orbital distance from outer atmosphere toward earth with a beam powerful enough to bring down any armored or heat resistant missile/rocket wielded by your adversary. Developing & creating such a weapon then & only then would be considered "a game changer" as no one would have the capacity to launch, , guide or land any such opposing projectile without it being fully destroyed or it's course altered by such a beam. Anything the enemy possessed would be immediately deemed "obsolete" from that moment forward.
It will happen one day & a seamless satellite system above earth will change the way we look at warfare & it's necessity alike.
I won't be around for such a day but we should all pray such a weapon is created by a nation with the best hopes for humankind utilizing it for one reason alone, , to bring every nation on earth to the table of peace, , where war as well as development of wartime armaments will become obsolete also, , a beautiful day for those assigned & dedicated to peacetime efforts.
It should be called "The G.O.D. Laser", , "Global Orbital Deterrence".
