hey guys! i FINALLY made a new video about studying Japanese, this time about speaking + pronunciation, so definitely check it out if you're learning; I think it can be beneficial no matter what level you're at (or what language you're learning!)

thank you so much for all the love on this video~ <3

I learned how to speak Japanese using Anki. I literally only used it like 5-10 minutes per day. It did take about 1.5-2 years to learn how to speak, but I put such a small amount of effort into learning that I feel like I cheated. It feels like I just magically know how to speak Japanese.

I only started using Anki a few days ago because of this video and it's already helping a lot, especially with vocab 😭 You're a lifesaver

I've been using Renshuu so far, and while I am very much taking my time with Japanese. I've been loving how comprehensive it's been and how the settings allow me to adjust things based on my study style. Having it show pitch accent when learning the words and being able open a dictionary (complete with community notes) by tapping a word or kanji within just one app has been super convenient.

Ja sensei is a good app to check grammar. Well, I haven't gone through all the lessons, but, what I can say for sure is that this app explains the topic in the simplest way and gives you a bunch of examples. I find it very useful

I started off learning hiragana and katakana as anyone else would, then I learned the grammar structure and that took abt 10-20 mins until I moved onto particles which I do not regret because I have a proper understanding to the different ways I can use certain particles, thx to 裕子先生 from smilenihongoacademy, I don't use much apps to learn japanese but I'll definitely check out the ones u suggested.

Keep up the good work studying Japanese, thanks for sharing your app recommendations. I’ve been studying and speaking Japanese for aaagges, but make the same grammar mistakes from way back. Might revisit and use some of these to fix my bad habits.

actually the Netflix one is so smart, I personally consider myself a slow learner when it comes to memorizing things. and watching films in Japanese helped me memorize the words more. thank you!

Thanks! I've recently decided to try learn Japanese 1. To watch anime without subtitles
2. I feel like I'd enjoy speaking Japanese more
3. It's one of my favourite cultures, anime aside the folklore, the mythos and the technology.

Thank you for the advice! Just a quick question in case I missed it but is there a specific deck you recommend for Anki? There's alot of options and it's a bit overwhelming
