I remember getting a charizard in a $4 pack of pokemon cards. I went straight to the local jewelry & card shop. Sold it for $75. Me and my mom were dirt poor. Living in homeless shelters. At the time a womens shelter that almost didnt let us in cause i was a boy. But that gave us a really good day.

It’s almost being a bummer having one of these cards. Like if I did end up buying even like a $2000 card, that would be the new standard. It would be hard to get excited about pulling anything from a pack after that.

I’m pretty happy ripping a pack and finding a cool /25 rookie worth $80 or a /50 auto. That’s just me though.
