Although there is the possibility that the TAG was put in Wolf of Wall-street because of the partnership. I always believed it was a deliberate choice.. in the movie Jordan makes a career by lying to people, making things seem better than what they are, and being flashy. The watch is gilded, just like his promises. It is a true representation of him, his lifestyle, and what he is selling.

The Heuer you pictured (super-sized) at 1:10 is actually a Heuer 980.022 42mm jumbo from the 1000 series dive watches (not a Professional 2000). That's the mid-sized 984.013 version (they produced child, female, mid-sized, and jumbo-sized versions).

In the 90's I was in middle school. I had a friend who had that remote control watch. One day we had a substitute teacher and she put on a VHS tape for the class. My friend was able to get the watch to control the VCR, and he kept stopping and rewinding the tape. At the time it was hilarious, but now I think back on that poor sweet lady who couldn't figure out what was going on and kept apologizing to the class and I want to cry.
