as a filipino kid visiting my grandparents in a rural countryside i was afraid of the aswang (Filipino vampire) i remember my grandfather going into my room and giving me an unloaded gun so i can fall asleep easily.

For some reason I just got a crazy idea for Home Alone but with Vampires. Like:
- coat the doorknob with garlic so the Vampires burn when they touch it
- they see the welcome mat and step in, only to be compelled by the power of 30 Christs I hung up on a wall near the entrance.
- paint can trick but it’s a stake
- falling iron except it’s made of silver so it still kills the vampire
- instead of Christmas ornaments it’s silverware that I just leave by the windows for the vampires to step on
- the flamethrower trap works normally
- feather trap except it just drops a bunch of grain on the ground and they have to count all of it
- I get in the shower and turn it on so they can’t get to me with all the running water

Either she thought it was beyond adorable, or else, she was thinking, "If the kid even suspects she might have a vampire infestation, I'm going to do whatever I can to help." Either way it's awesome.

That nun was both real and awesome. She knew the kid wasn't a true follower of her Lord, but that didn't stop her from knowing the gift she was giving would give him peace of mind and strength to face his fears. And that is exactly what the her good lord intended. She didn't get hung up on the semantics. 10/10
