The ULTIMATE Guide To Aiming in Destiny 2

Показать описание

Improving your aim in games like Destiny 2 can be complicated because there are so many factors to consider. You have to understand your individual weapon's strengths and weaknesses, and learn good situational awareness to develop strong crosshair placement habits.

But aim improvement is a deep rabbit hole that can have you spending thousands of hours in aim trainers like AimLabs or Kovaaks. How do you get the most out of your time practicing your aim and developing the fundamental skills of click timing, tracking and target switching? This video gives you a gameplan to apply all of these concepts to Destiny 2 and have you aiming better than ever.

To add to the concept of pre-aiming: It is especially important to make space between your reticle and the wall when aiming in D2, as the bullet magnetism (present both on mnk and controller) will bend your bullet right into a wall. If your aim is "good enough" for D2 to give you the headshot, it will bend the bullet to travel in a straight line to the center of the head of the opponent, but the game will not check if their entire head's hitbox is visible before doing that.

Something I NEVER see talked about but is super important: Different weapons have different ADS sensitivities; for example, ADS hand cannons are more sensitive than ADS pulse rifle.

This leads to inconsistent muscle memory training and has always bothered me in D2 and some other games. I literally adjust the in-game ADS Sensitivity option (not the Look Sensitivity) depending on which weapon type I use to maintain the same consistency when Aiming-Down-Sights.

Just some information to consider!

Some additional things to add

If you're on MnK, choose a sens that allows you to flick your mouse left or right at a full 90 degree angle. So in the middle of a fight, you can slide to cover if you need to bail out quickly.

On top of that, pick a mouse with well placed thumb buttons and where can change your dpi in the software.

Tinker around and find a dpi, hipfire, and ads sens you feel confident on and stick to it.

When I get paid I'll give your pad a go

Omg i love these types of videos. It feels like all the pvp youtubers who made videos like this kinda just stopped like 2 years ago. Nomad does lists now. Shadow became a mythbuster. Its nice to get a pvp tips video again after so long.

If you are like me and are on pc

You have the most advantageous thing at your hands called a mouse and non restricted movements

also I come from csgo and have played destiny since 2014 and haven’t really touched pvp much but after alot of csgo in my time of gaming and already being good at cross hair placement I went into pvp feeling really confident

I’m now sitting in plat 2 and have a few flawlesses on my account and loads of nice pvp weapons

Like a god roll igneous hammer and I absolutely love 120s and have for a long time

Love from Sweden

I also think its important to slow down a bit. Too many people want to play like their favorite streamer and sprint everywhere, flick like crazy, all gas no brakes, etc. You have to remember that high end PvP players do this because they have the skill to do it and have the skill to know when playing like that is necessary. If youre watching this video, youre not that guy. Get the fundamentals down, slow down, dont rush into every engagement, and youll see improvements

I started practicing in Aimlabs but noticed it didn't really feel like D2, so thanks for the playlist!

Thank you for posting an improvement video. I know many of these have been done years ago, specifically recalling your how to snipe video. But with the game death and negativity posts, this is great to see.

I ran into patty in rumble and all i can say is its great to go against content creators who boost with their clan, him and 2 others were just kill trading in rumble to end the matches faster and he was always on top only one positive too

As a former CS Player and now dad of two, i just want to remind my fellow Gamer Geezers: You are not you when you're tired. Dont try to force a game or two in the hour between your kids sleeping and you yourself getting to bed. Spend it with your spouse instead and try to play on Weekends :)

All your videos feel super high-quality and this one's no different. That said, I'm personally not a big fan of aimtrainers. I feel like while they do train your brain for fps games, if you're trying to get better at one in particular you're better off actually playing the game. Queue up some control with hc/shotgun or smg/sniper and practice aiming, tracking, flicking, etc. This also allows you to learn how to move better with methods like jiggle peaking. In addition, practicing in the game you're learning lets you learn general game knowledge; this includes so many things like maps, round timings (when people enter sniper lanes at the beginning of a round), where to pre-aim, counterplay for certain abilities, sound queues, etc. Once again, just my opinion. Aimtrainers don't do it for me, I'd rather actually play the game I'm trying to get better at. Other than that, I think most of the other stuff you talked about is super awesome and stuff that I learned through thousands of hours in this game. Super awesome video, I'm always impressed at the amount of effort that goes into everything you do.
