Trinamool MP Derek O'Brien in his farewell speech for Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu in the Rajya Sabha said that he would have tried hard to get the Prime Minister to perhaps answer one question in his full tenure "but that did not happen". He also added the day the upper house passed the now repealed Farm Bills, he was not on the Chair and "Maybe, someday you will answer that in your autobiography,"

Farewell this speech had some valid points raised but sounds so petty
Mr O’Brien sometimes it is not important to score political points.

Such a brilliant speech, taking on BJP yet saying good things about Mr VP.

I am a great fan of West Bengal TMC MPs Derek O Brien & Mrs Mahua Moitra, the former in the Rajya Shaba and the later in the Lok Shabha. Both of them are doing great duties of democracy amidst difficulties from treasury benches. Both of them delivered a very clear language of speech, which I admire them, both are roaring when the time arises in parliament. I specially thanks to Mrs Didi to select these MPs, congratulations to the people of WB to elect both of them to the temple of democracy. Fine. Mr Derek speaks about Mr Naidu on the day of farewell from the VP of Indian Government, is rather very touching, one couldn't never forget about the Mr Naidu's mother demise at the age of one. Mr Vengiah Naidu is also a great politician, great statesman and above all a great human being. I inspired more that he lives in Chennai. May he leads a very bright social life with his family. I pray for him always for his good health.

He shouldn't have been so mean, that too during farewell.

He doesn’t know how to insult the VP. PM did a far more efficient job when he outrightly insulted the then VP.
Mr Modi is too good in that.,

TMC need not even discuss democracy. BJP has its issues but TMC is much worse. Can the MP bring statistics on how the state has progressed under TMC? TMC must have transformed WB into Singapore by now as per their speeches. He proudly says All India TMC where Mamta has not even won a single election outside WB.

Bengalis will be Bengalis. Don't forget. The Bengalis were the first to be in bed with the British.

Why rake up past personal trauma in a farewell speech? How very bizzare!!! And, people are applauding as they did listening to the latest pathetic patriotic (sorry, BJP) song
