Complexity of cloud deployments increases with evolving multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud landscape and interconnectivity over internet. At the same time security breaches are becoming more frequent and sophisticated, bringing the rise of zero-trust paradigm, where you never trust and always verify.

As enterprises adopt the new paradigm, balancing security with flexibility and efficiency is increasingly crucial. “Bring Your Own Cloud” (BYOC), where customers bring their cloud infrastructure, offers answers to flexibility and efficiency dilemmas. However, BYOC introduces new challenges in maintaining a secure, zero-trust design choices.

In this session, we’ll start with BYOC value proposition, fundamentals and security challenges. Then we’ll explore BYOC key design choices within zero-trust framework for enabling data sovereignty, control of data access, identity-based control with temporary limited-privilege credentials. We’ll cover key aspects like authentication, authorisation, and the importance of segmenting resources to minimise risk exposure. Attendees will leave with insights into securing BYOC for cloud-native environments, gaining knowledge on integrating zero-trust principles into their deployments. Ideal for product managers, cloud architects and data professionals looking to use or build BYOC solutions aligned to zero-trust paradigm
