To fight climate change we need a global but at least an European solution. The EU hopes to make a huge step towards being the first climate neutral continent till 2050 by establishing the European Green Deal in 2019. According to Ursula von der Leyen this will be possible by reducing the EU’s greenhouse gas emissions by up to 55%. Dr. Martin Brudermüller will share his opinion on the European Green Deal in this keynote speech building on his experience from his work in several research and political institutions. This event is part of the German Symposium 2021 and took place at 13:30GMT/14:30CET on the 3rd of February, 2021.

Dr. Martin Brudermüller is a German manager and since 2018 CEO of BASF SE. He has a PhD from the University of Karlsruhe. Moreover, he is a member of the senate of the Max-Planck-Society, the economic advisory board of the Green Party and the German National Platform for Electric Mobility.
