Just upgraded to 23.01 stable. So far so good. Gotta go through make sure no issues or any settings that need fixed or adjustments.

My only issue on a SG-2220 was getting pfblockerng-devel to not give some sort of weird cert error, I do not have the exact error but since reverted back to stable. Funny enough I tried it out after your ZFS Boot Env video, which worked like a charm.

Do love those boot environments. Moved to 23.01 it failed and then moved right back. Like Tom said may have been an issue with one of the packages I have installed. I noticed that there was an update for pfBlocker after I rolled back. Updated it and haven't had time to try and roll it forward again.

Excited for the fix for 23 as in 22.05 I notice a reported, and fixed issue already, with radius and the nas-ipv4 attribute isn’t correct on 22.05. My dev 23.01 seems to show its fixed.

I am waiting because I have not had the time to test using Unifi behind PFsense and want to see what it might affect if anything. I am thinking nothing but it is always best to be sure

Been using 23.01 for a couple of days now. Really liking freebsd14 and the use of intel speedshift instead of having to use powerd and speedstep which is slower.Why are you using snort over suricata?

Due to my visual impairment [fully blind, using screen reading software etc...] my main reasonn(s) why I didn't revert back to pfsense [and I'd really want to, the web ui is simply awsome...] are thus:
- Not able to use ssh within the installer to like, drop in a dvd or usb, let the firewall boot, and use ssh on another system to perform the system. [say the booted system would use dhcp to get ips, if that fails use a default one...]
- alternatively use a file to perform a headless install

I know, before someone jumps to reply... opnsense has ssh [and?] it's a bit harder to work with from an web interface point of view...
I did use pfsense, after having sighted help to install it... But, my issue is: the moment it would break, I'm stuck again, so I'd like to gain independance to (re)install stuff when needed.

Netgate borked last Plus update for 7100. Connecting two of them with 1G ports (for carp) now requires crossover cable like in previous century

Thanks for your videos, did you experience any issues with PIA and OpenVPN? on one of my pfsense machine after the upgrade the PIA OpenVPN is still working fine. (This pfsense device is a computer with 4 ports nic). But when I tried to configure PIA in the Netgate SG-3100 fresh 23.01 configuration the openOPV is not working for me, no matter what I try. I tried different configurations for PIA VPN and other typles of VPN providers and none of them works. Any advice on this matter? can you create a vidoe about configuring PIA with pfsense 23.01?

You make great videos on pfSense, thank you for those. I've a specific request if you could make a video on the below.

I'm a volunteer for a non-profit, we use MS365 and all our users are in Azure AD. I was looking for a way to integrate it with our pfSense such that it becomes easier to enable RBAC/User Manager, captive portal, VPN authentication instead of having to setup a local user again on pfSense.

Lack of hardware support from pfSense is what caused me to switch to OPNSense. When is a community release coming with the FreeBSD 14 kernel?

3:10 Netflix does the same with their servers (they run the latest version of FreeBSD and NGINX for the same reasons)
