China launched its Joint Sword 2024B large-scale military drills around Taiwan shortly after Taiwan President Lai Ching-te gave a speech for the country’s National Day. In his address, Lai said that the People’s Republic of China (PRC), referring to China, and the Republic of China (R.O.C.), Taiwan’s official name, are not subordinate to each other. Taiwan’s Presidential Office responded to China’s military drills, calling on Beijing to “cease its military provocations that undermine regional security.” In this episode of “Taiwan Talks,” we examine the messages within Lai Ching-te's National Day speech, the extent of China’s Joint Sword-2024B exercises, and how Taiwan should respond to China’s actions. Furthermore, we look at ASEAN’s annual summit, where the leaders of ASEAN, Japan, China, and the U.S. gathered to discuss issues in the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea.

What little ocean front property china has may get full of sunken ships and oil, dead fish, something like the graveyard of Russian tanks in Ukraine.

What if you are talking about it like it is just a drill but this time they don't withdraw?

CHINA plays the game in ASEAN with regards to South China Sea issues as buying shares in a big company where it uses dummies to get hold grip invisibly. Some of those probably been swayed by big amounts of offerings while some stayed to keep their full rights in their hands.
