In our country, buying a readymade kimchi is cheaper than making your own at home. So i guess it really depends

I’ve never made kimchi before but wanna try it, so for the first time I’d probably buy it from a Korean store nearby that I think makes it themselves just cause I am worried I’d mess it up if I tried making it, but maybe down the road later I’ll start trying to make it from scratch

It’s why I make my own sauerkraut too. Plus fresh kimchi and sauerkraut is just WAY better
