Creaking bottom bracket? Here's our guide to solving it...

A noisy bottom bracket isn't just annoying; those gritty bearings could be slowing you down too. Luckily, this video will help you out. Start by stripping your bottom bracket down and thoroughly cleaning and regreasing the threads. If that doesn't help, it's time to replace your bottom bracket. Scott's got you covered with that too...

for Sram bottom brackets and cranks, I add a 24mm x 2mm rubber o-ring on the drive side since there's usually a space between the crank/chainring and bottom bracket on that side. It helps in keeping that side of the bottom bracket sealed.

here is a special wrench that is reverse threaded specially designed to prevent you from attempting to lube your crank.

new cranks are so nice to work on compared to the crap we had before spline drive. I snapped and twisted so many bottom bracket spindles back then. more expensive they were the easier they snapped. one time I cut my leg on a xt so bad I should of went for stitches. love the new stuff so glad I sent back so many broken bbs for warranty lol

Please make a video on how to measure and decide which bottom bracket you need as all the different types and sizes can be confusing!

Couldn't you do videos on how to service forks and shocks?.. How to change seals/change oil/service internals etc... ? This is probably something people take to the LBS when problems, but in my case(and probably many others) there is no LBS that knows this stuff and it is too expensive to send to RockSHox/ FOx for service.

Don't forget to take the chain ring bolts off and clean and grease them because they can cause creaking noises from being dry.

Thank you so much, I have been breaking my brain figuring out how to extract that darn pedal off.

Something to remind is to also open your bottom bracket and check the bearings, remove the caps, spray some degreaser and regrease them, because those bearings are the ones that move when you pedal, the video is good but is not attacking the core of the problem.
