Water is also conscious. It delights to cohere. When the molecules stretch. When it goes up a tree. Over rapids in a stream. This came to me through contemplation of “cohere” during intensely blissful trance dancing. Water shared its memory of me as a very young child playing with my father in a lake. Changed my life! We are water walking around. Water always listens. Even through pipes. Has preferences. It feels. Joy. Sadness.

As someone who practices Shivambhu, this teaching confirms what we have know for quite some time; Water communicates to our terrain/ bodies/ universe. In Ojibwa teachings there’s many teachings in water that’s explained here but in Christian mysticism my understanding to get baptized by water is a frequency shift from earth to water or beta to alpha, air to fire or theta to delta. When it’s said after getting baptized with water another will come after me to baptize you in fire that basically means raising your vibration or frequencies

Accustomed to the narrative of Elegua/Papa Legba/Eshu, the keeper of the gateways and all physical connection- even cellular. Maybe his blindness to his own 'goodness' allows him to stay polarized/in a state of separation- always at the gates. I had never made the connection before, but it kinda reminds me of Hades and how he is a trickster, as he tricked Persephone- but also his backstory of having to guard the lower worlds.
