My recent attempted Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy was halted due to complex adhesion to the duodenum etc. and identified a gallstone in the Hartman’s Pouch and laparoscopic ultrasound suggested possible further stone in the CBD and possible Marizzi’s syndrome. I am awaiting further investigation and I guess surgery? Not sure how risky this scenario might be?

I am concerned that the treatment option is immediate gallbladder removal. If the case is uncomplicated, why not try a conservative approach with antibiotics such as Flagyl and Levaquin? Try a high fiber diet with water and citrus fruits to counter the bile salts and flush out more cholesterol as the antibiotics attack the organism.
