Thomas Eddison worked *very* differently to Tesla. Tesla built almost nothing through trial and error. He was able to model things in his mind before he would build it. This is why vast majority of his best inventions worked from the first prototype. This is where Tesla cannot be put into the same bag with people like Eddison. Trial and error is also increasingly becoming a pretty obsolete way to think, as first principles thinking takes over more and more, to reduce the error rates down massively. This is extremely reflective in fields such as UX Design for example.

The turkey point was a really good one. I often thought that induction comes with its own set of limitations and the most significant one is the human mind itself but to be honest, it was hard to put it into words or even give an example.

I think when it comes to answers, we as humans are so desperate for them that anything that out intuition points to we tend to just accept.
