You should drill pile holes every so often into the dirt so the steps don't slide down the hill in the future

Adding all that loose material inside your steps is a good indication that those steps will settle in the future. In my honest opinion of course.

Probably needed a permit to do this, but didn’t get it, should of put rebar in, but didn’t, should be more experienced, but you’re not, but, you charged the customer top dollar just so they can pay to fix it later 😂🤣
