Easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials do it yourself (DIY) to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers.

I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.

Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed wacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.

My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.

I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.

11 years later and this video helped me tremendously. Just tuned up a weed eater I got for free (same exact one as the one in the video actually) with a new carb, spark plug, and fuel lines (old ones were so dry-rotted that they broke off). Needless to say, I was excited it started but bummed it would bog and die while running fully gassed. It did feel like it wasn’t getting enough gas on demand. Thank you for your video.

Another great useful video. Your camera work is great. You talk clearly and slowly.
You're the best on youtube.

And good tip on the dremel tool. The thinnest cutting wheel not only sliced neatly through the center of the screw so it could be adjusted with a flathead, it provided a guide sliced into the outer aluminum housing so you can tell how far you turn the screw within 180 degrees.

In the case of the Sears Craftsman unit, the high throttle adjustment was opposite yours but it took all of a few seconds and ½ turn to figure that out.

I really enjoy your videos. They're very clear and simple. For a non-mechanic like me, you seem to have a magical touch with motors which is great to watch.

I followed your instructions, replaced fuel lines as you showed in another video, and finally got my weed-eater to stay running after years of storage in my shed due to not working. Thanks to you I also learned how to get my riding lawn mower going a few years ago, and then again a couple of months ago due to a new issue. Take care...

You have the best video on this issue! I have a Ryobi SS26 that's out of warranty,
but is configured the same as your machine.
I just notched a groove with a dremel & was able to back the left packman screw
a quarter turn counterclockwise with a flathead screwdriver, throttles up & runs perfectly! I couldn't justify buying that tool on a throw away item, or paying a shop
on a repair that would cost almost as much as a brand new machine!
If it's still under warranty you may not want to do the dremel hack & void the waranty

Donyboy73, You are the man!
Over the last couple of years, I have been given, or purchased, non working lawn equipment to repair and resell over the winter when my lawn business is dormant. For the most part, I can get them back up to speed myself, but for those pesky problems that I just can't figure out, your videos have helped immensely!
Thank you for all that you do, and please keep up the great work!

Another happy viewer right here. Just bought a weed eater leaf blower, boggin down pretty much out of the box. Half a turn on the L screw and bam, pissin my neighbors off at 10pm while I blow my garage clean..

Thank you sir, that's why i'm subscribed.

Question, in your Chainsaw that bogs down video you adjusted the high speed, can you explain why you turned the low speed screw for this situtation?
