I came to China 20 years ago. President Xi is the best thing that happened to China. He did something no other leader has ever done in history and took billions out of poverty in China and changed China for the best! Live the dream in China!

It's a big contrast between US and China. Everything is new in China but it's a old country. Everything is old US but is a new country.

I had the opportunity to study abroad so I learned English to act as a bridge between the two cultures, but I was appalled at how China is being portrayed in the West. Whenever I bring up China's achievements to them, they just laughed at me, called me brainwashed and some even told me to _"Go back to China is you like it there!"._ This coming from people who probably never actually set foot in China and seen what life in China is really like.

Hey kids, I've been living back and forth in China since 1984. Words can't describe the difference between then and now. Haven't been to China since the month before Covid but I look forward to going back in October. Can't wait.

Rare to see young American entrepreneurs venturing outside the US. Best of luck. ❤

Thank-you Cyrus for interviewing this couple. I have been a long time China proponent and have become so very disheartened by the toxic geopolitics which now dominates our media and political leaders. It is a breath of fresh air to hear "in the field, on the ground" reality of this entrepreneur. I last visited Shenzhen as an exchange medical student from Kansas City in 85' at which time it was a village of 500K. I continue to be firm in the belief that China will overcome all of the obstacles that the US and its allies have created to prevent its further progress. As an ABC, I feel that US has violated the whole concept of a free and open market where fair play is emphasized. Can't wait to get back for a visit this October!

My company is based in Shenzhen & what Taylor said is 100% true, & the economy has taken the worst hit since the real estate bubble popped (STILL has GDP growth) & only hv upside from now on (unless there's war in Taiwan straits or South China seas). Another excellent piece of work Cyrus. Keep it up!! 👍👍👍

The American motto is, "Ignorance is bliss!" Amazing what a nation can create when their time, energy and focus isn't dedicated to starting wars and destroying citizens who don't believe that men can have babies! We have become the clowns of the world. Thank you Cyrus for showing everyone what hard work and sane policies can create!❤

Cyrus, I think you're doing highly commendable work. I've never been to China and I've grown up with numerous misconceptions; but thankfully I've matured enough in the past few years to see through most of the unfortunate perception moulding which takes place through mainstream media; oft times by people who've never been to China themselves. And not just with China but most countries that are typically looked down upon almost by default in the west. Thanks very much for your efforts in educating and informing us.

Asians, by and large, are grateful people. They are grateful for having their living conditions improved tremendously. The Chinese, in particular have every reason to love their country and their government which has been instrumental in transforming their lives by leaps and bounds for the better.

Hi Cyrus, you and some wise and sensible Americans are the bridge builders, the world would be a much better place if we have more people like you.
Many blessings to you ❤❤

Great discussion! 👍

Those who always say China is bad need to ask themselves if China is in dystopia, why foreigners still keep coming to invest and live? Starbucks opened its 6000th store in China last year.

Shenzhen is a vibrant city in China. My pcb designs are always manufactured in Shenzhen because the service, quality, and cost are good.

China is so futuristic that many expats in China have found that travelling back to their home countries is almost like _"travelling backwards in time"._

So proud of China. Great work Cyrus. My China journey, a Brit working in Sweden began in 1996. Worked, lived in Beijing and Wuhan at the turn of the century. I was last in China in January 2020, Just can't wait to get back.
So grateful for your coverage and work to promote openness..
