Found a Rare Backcountry Cabin on Lake Superior! Wilderness Camping

We went camping at a backcountry cabin on the camp is on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota! It's a part of the Superior Hiking Trail - a 310 mile long distance hiking trail that was named as one of the most scenic hikes in America. These backcountry camps are more common in the western USA and Alaska, but not as much here in the midwest. My wife and toddler took made their first backpacking trip out to the Boreal Backcountry Cabins with me and our dog Ellie and it was a blast!

I grew up in Minnesota but left it 60 years ago. I remember summers pontooning on Gull Lake and catching crayfish in Minnehaha Creek. So I so love watching your videos…they bring back so many warm memories. And I get a little homesick too. Thank you for sharing your beautiful videos and your girls. And especially Miss Ellie!!
