I'm sorry it was stressful. If it makes you feel any better, your hard work was worth it. It's just beautiful.

Why do you guys peel off the cover on the vinyl (? Looks like vinyl) before you presumably ship it out? Do you ever have issues with finger smudges especially on the mirror material?

I don’t understand the design. Is it meant to be something? Is it meant to be aesthetically pleasing?

I think it’s really interesting to see design trends cycle back and forth between generations. My parents (gen x) would never have anything like this, their style is super clean and modern and minimal on the colors. But stuff like this is really popular with Millennials and pretty soon Gen Z, I can definitely see myself or my friends having all kinds of decor like this. To me it’s like a reaction, my grandparents house definitely had the colorful, overdesigned, kind of baroque style, and I think my parents are reacting to that in the same way that my generation is reacting to their more modernist styles: going in the opposite direction. Anyways, this is really cool, wish you luck and success (and hopefully some of my generation will actually be able to buy homes to put stuff like this in 😬)

I was like "that looks awful" and then you took the paper off and I was like "oh, I'm an idiot."

Make a jig, square base with a raised edge going along a vertical and a horizontal side, lay the outlet cover in the jig so it’s snug against the raised edges then lay all your pieces on top so everything will be squared and even

I’ll order tons of these so you get more practice!

Wouldn’t it be easier to put full cutouts on a blank backer and then cut the switches and screw holes after?

that is so pretty, but I can see how it can be very difficult to make, due to the lack of template/frame, but once it's assembled, it's so pretty and so worth the trouble in the end.

I feel weird about this because I think it’s useless and ugly yet at the same time I love it. I don’t mean it as a backhanded compliment or anything, it just has my attention and I’d probably order one to be honest

Every artist has that one piece that they don't know why people enjoy it.

How often do you change your designs, couldn't you automate their assembly?

3d print a jig using the screw and light switch holes for alignment pins. Add a lip around the edge for more alignment. Then figure out order of assembly if that’s necessary with the jig.
