The CX-50 is the newer platform. You get a more aggressive look and a slight bump in cargo space. I'd still buy the CX-5. It has independent rear suspension and a higher-quality interior, plus it is slightly more affordable. I haven't driven the CX-50, but I can't imagine it's any better than the CX-5 when it comes to ride, handling, and nvh. The CX-5 is very good at keeping noise to a minimum.

I've checked both cars in person from inside-out and in my opinion, cx50 looks beautiful. however, It feels cheap to be honest. the soft plastic grails and side fenders, the feeling of openning and closing doors feels light and clumsy. and noisier cabin than cx5. I mean it doean't have the luxury feel to it while having a rugged style crossover.
just my personal preference, I think cx5 is better.

to people who wants to check these cars, don't be afraid to visit the dealership. better to check them out in person.

get the cx- 5 has way better seats, accelerates faster, better rear suspension 3 folding rear seats.

With cylinder deactivation cx50 is not a choice at all!!!
