Wow 3 12 pitch that is pretty good can they pour 7 12 pitch? So the rebar did ICF form people give you the diagrams for the rebar ties and the rebar positions? I just know they have to be at the neutral axis and they might need to have pretension threaded bars for torque specification and corresponding tension. Did they give you details for that or did you have to find someone to design that part for your house?

Rather than the painted on waterproofing membrane for your concrete roof, I'd love to see a video with a solar tile roof used over poured concrete. I want to build an ICF home, and I'd like to have a poured concrete roof also, rather than a wood truss roof that could attract termites. I just can't find any examples of how to then install a solar tile roof that I want, like a Tesla roof.

A very nice home. If an EF5 tornado hit the home the weakest parts would be windows and garage doors. I plan to have a much smaller single story ICF home built with a similar concrete roof; metal frame storm windows with security screens; metal storm doors with security screen doors; hurricane garage doors with roll down hurricane shutters.

An EF5 tornado can generate wind speeds of 300 MPH + with flying debris at speeds of 150 MPH. Storm windows, hurricane garage doors, storm entry doors may handle 150 MPH winds, however for added security and safety the metal security screening over the windows and entry door should lessen the winds force on them along with the debris hitting the high impact security screens at 150 MPH which should absorb that impact; not the windows or doors.

There are few videos showing an ICF home after being hit by an EF5 tornado and those homes did not have a ICF roof; all that was left were the walls. The roof was gone because it WAS NOT ICF and just a standard roof; there were no windows any doors or anything in the home because everything was sucked out of the home. It looks as if no storm windows etc were used. If these homes were built with an ICF roof, storm windows and doors with security screen etc. those homes would likely still have all their belongings with only damage to the exterior. Making the entire home more of a EF5 tornato proof structure. A better way to protect your fanily and pets.
