I've seen Cal do this sooo many times, thing is, he is a HOF coach, but man he is not a good in game coach. I truly think that he knows this, and it's why he has always put sooo much energy onto recruiting the best players he can get so it can overshadow his average in game coaching. I remember he done the same thing vs Florida in Rupp last season, vs Michigan State the year before, I mean I can go on. Arkansas fans have no idea what kind of roller coaster he is about to put them on. He will have Arkansas competing, but if he ever wins another championship I'd truly be shocked.

The team has practiced this scenario 1000x. It was great defense. Let things play out. Inbounding the ball is more difficult.

We've seen this movie before. Cal blows the lead late in March. 2008 vs Kansas, 2015 vs Wisc, 2017 vs UNC, 2019 vs Auburn, 2022 vs St pete. Takes the air out of the ball either too early or with not big enough of a lead. Gotta keep playing the way that earned you the lead, not clutch the pearls while trying to run the clock out.

Remember his debacle of 2015 against Wisconsin

Once williams turned on the switch, he just easily backed those tall, skinny defenders back. Hot knife/butter.

Cal is going to assemble a roster that will give you a chance to be successful every single season.

That alone puts him ahead of alot of coaches, but when it gets down to clutch time when it matters, you better hope you have an Anthony Davis, once in a generation talent to carry you all the way.

I appreciate what he did at Kentucky and I'll root for him against anyone else, but it is what it is

You would have thought he's great if TT missed that 3 pointer.

I love how you all tell everybody else how to coach

Cal took a 10
Seed damn near to the elite 8. Great successful season for Cal. The amount of hate that follows this guy is kinda wild, seen Kentucky fans in our comments all year trolling us after every loss -yall pushed the guy out why do you care what he is doing now ?

Only Calipari would be given 1 year to make a final four or be called overrated. Sometimes you set expectations so high people call you terrible when you don't reach it. He's better than Mark Few but people praise Mark Few. He's made the Final Four with 3 different teams, 2 that were mid-majors, almost won the championship with Memphis, had a 38 win season with Kentucky, and won the championship in 2012. Even if you think his power is recruiting and not coaching, he still has results. His former players compliment him. Arkansas is going to see better results than they would without him, and I'm certain they are going to be doing better than Kentucky over the next 10 years. A sweet 16 in his first year with a 10 seed is just the beginning.

I'm not a fan of any school from the state of Kentucky and Kentucky fans just come off as annoying to me. They don't appreciate what Calipari did for them. They act like his championship meant nothing. I would be furious if I was him, being trashtalked by the fans of a team I helped win a championship as if I was worthless garbage. "But Kentucky is a blue blood that should expect to win championships" Kentucky fans say, as if the last time they consistently won championships wasn't in the 50s. It was 14 years before Caliparis championship that Kentucky last won one, and it hasn't even been 14 years since his.

Kentucky fans just get over it…. As Arkansas fan I’m very pleased…. Next year they will be prepared in these situations…. Worry about tonight when Tennessee beat the brakes off UK😊

Every BBN fan is happy for Cal's success...or should be...but we are also not surprised at Cal's persistent issues of in-game coaching. WVa...Wisc...Oakland.

Any credit to Tech? Or was it coach Cal's fault they gave up a 16 point lead? Asking because I'm tired of my school not getting any positive press

There are seven suits next to him on the bench. They’re all afraid to tell him something. Hey, this guy is burning us. Can we double team them a little bit? You watching old game the only suits on the bench are the coach and the trainer. Now there are as many assistance as players, and they all shut up.

Texas Tech dominated the glass. Arkansas had their luckiest shooting of the year . Texas Tech by far better

For anyone to say that Cal is not a good has banners to prove he is. On the last score for TT when they hit the 3, I would have fouled before the shot. But he took a chance on them missing the shot. It could have gone either way. Foul them, they make the first shot and intentionally miss the second shot and them get the rebound and kick it out for a score, possibly a 3.

He should have stayed an assistant in all honesty…. His game plans don’t plan…..

The guy doesn’t learn anything as a coach. After hat Ky loss to Wisconsin in 14 he should’ve learned to stop taking the air out of the ball. This is an all time choke job. Cal has probably 3 of the top 6 or 7 chokes of all time. Guy is done. Get used to this ark 😂

Calling a time out with less than 8 seconds left might have hurt Arkansas even worse. You've got to get the ball inbounds, and then if you do you're probably going to lose as least another couple of seconds before you can get the ball into position to even try to drive. So Coach Cal would've been damned regardless of the decision he made.
