The problem is that the procurement is happening in through out the year...In some areas it started after some days or weeks of harvest season starts.... At that time farmers don't have storage place to store until the Mandi open... therefore they have to sell to the traders for low prices...even in some places the traders won't give the cash in hand at the time of procurement....

Have immense respect for Yogendraji, as he was one of our first psephologists and was/is unbiased when he wears the hat of a psephologist.

Having said that, I think the hatred on PM Modi is turning out to be hatred on India and anything that the PM does. Just as the CAA has nothing to do with the existing Indian citizens, this reform has nothing to do with MSP. This law is neither MSP. A foolish flaw by the opposition to just oppose. Not at all constructive on the opposition part.

Let us criticize the government when they make mistakes. If you criticize for anything they do, your credibility will go down the drain.

The state run buses do not pay tolls and the pvt buses pay tolls. The farmer has some choice to sell wherever he wants. It is good move, but then some vested interests and a couple of genuine concerns. Hope it goes through.
