So many people complain about newer updates feeling empty and pointless... But I feel that is a huge disservice to all the builders out there who use Minecraft as a canvas for their stunning works of art. People undervalue just how impactful the blocks and textures of this game are. People need to stop undervaluing art. Its AMAZING all the things builders like Gem and the other Hermits are able to accomplish in this game, and with each new update Mojang adds so much more potential to work with!

7:23 That’s also how i got into Minecraft!!! I was playing pocket edition on my old iPad in like 2015 in creative mode just building away, even though the builds on that world were pretty horrific, that is what got me hooked on Minecraft too!

why am I crying at the end, it's just a minecraft world, but the history and the details remind me of my own minecraft journey, I also started on pocket edition and continued to pc after, i still remember my first cobblestone box house in my first survival world, my first rustic house following grian's tutorials, first time seeing a mumbo jumbo tutorial, watching my first hermitcraft season 4 episode through mumbo, i even remember recreating the hermitron go, i remember senior bumbo cactoni . my friends i met through this game, thank you gem for being an amazing creator, happy 15th anniversary

I started crying during the end when you showed the whole world. Minecraft has helped me get through so many things. It might sound stupid but as someone with disabilities it’s just a happy way to escape the real world for a while. I love every thing that you do gem. Thank you.

I love the cohesiveness of this world in the end - even though the individual areas were so different to start out, you can really tell that they come from the same artist as there are design choices and proportions that carry over from world to world, tying everything together in a really satisfying way.

It´s really funny to think about how I´m 17 now, but have been playing the game the same amount of time as gem. Never would of thought I would play it till now back than. It´s so lovely to hear other people talk about this game that has molded such a huge part of my and other peoples childhoods, Minecraft truly is a game with the most loving and united community. Can’t believe Minecraft is 15 years old…it feels like just yesterday when it was released, but it also feels like so long ago. I think Minecraft has changed the lives of a lot of people, and it totally deserves all the attention it’s gotten over these 15 years. Plus, seeing some of your older builds is so cool! It seems like your building style changed a lot over the years, and it’s so cool to see some of your builds side by side!
