Simple yet brilliant concept, I love it!
It doens't seem like much at first glance but clearly there went quite some thought into the details of this system and I feel like this on pretty much all your projects. This is absolutely great to watch, thanks! :)
Only thing that I don't get is why you are hot gluing most things on the 9V blocks instead of making the battery replaceable; but like I said, really the only thing for me.

if you add a match fuser you can build an in-the-air-throwing-mine which can throw a fused firecracker in the air

cool idea but maybe add a bowl connected to the balloon and full it with plastic bbs or maybe your grenades with loose pin and connect it with the bottle. the pins will stay attached and grenades will you and burst at random places

Maybe instead of cutting that lid, somehow get it on top of the mechanism with a stone or something attached to the rubber. Then it'll make a loud sound when the stone or whatever hits the lid.

Good thing, but if you want more punch, loose the white powder and put some cayenne pepper, and change the tape with rubber band, for sure they gone make more than just the white stuff :) tested, just try not to try it on you lol
