While you were explaining the cordless vacuum, I couldn't help thinking about how much I miss having a dog. We used to have a collie when my first two kids were very young. I actually NEVER knew about the crumbs on the kitchen floor under the table until the dog was no longer around! She always kept it immediately cleaned up, so I never saw the mess. After the dog died, I found out how messy my kids are... Not cool. Kids kept coming, and messes got bigger. One weekend, my sister asked me to babysit her dog for a few days. That Sunday morning was crazy while we were getting ready to head out the door for morning service at church. The baby messed her diaper, which leaked, and she had to be cleaned up and re-dressed, and I had barely finished that in time to walk out the door when... My younger son dumped his entire bowl of cereal in his lap and onto the floor... I was just about to totally lose it when the borrowed dog stood up across the room, came over and began lapping up the mess! I actually shouted, "Praise God! We have a DOG!" I grabbed a clean pair of pants for my son, and we made it to church on time! ...barely!
