Effects of my 3D printed Airflow straighteners on my wind simulator

This is a short video demonstrating and explained the benefits of using air flow straighteners on my wind simulator.

Not that the air flow speeds are just as an indication of the affect of the straighteners, you can get higher wind speeds if you place the Anemometer differently, this is just showing the increase in wind speed with the air flow straighteners on

Hi, do you still sell the 3-D printed inlet ducts and air straighteners? I’m interested in buying a pair of each. How can I reach you. Thanks

Hi mate, you still selling these packages complete. The only similar thing I have seen is from motionhouse in Korea.

Any chance you can 3d print me an air straightener 200mm in diameter and 100mm long to go in a duct?

Nice work Avenga! Lets hope for no bugs to be flying by and get splattered on the Oculus, very messy but that would add more realism, lol... 👍😆🏁🏁🏁🏁

Hey Avenga I'm going to try and build one of your wind simulators. I don't have any experience soldering but if I understand you correctly you can purchase them with the header pins installed? The only ones I've seen don't have them installed is that a hard to install the pins? I read the link to Silent Chill and he didn't mention soldering he just said plug it in. Thanks Greg

do you have consumer version? or it's and will be DIY 4ever ;)

I think that's could have it's market with simracers.

One question: Why exactly did you choose to use two relatively small fans for this? I'm thinking about building a wind simulator myself for my VR rig, but it seems to me it would make more sense to have just one large and powerful fan (like at least 45 cm in diameter) in front. Then again, I have no idea what the most cost-efficient method would be for achieving the desired realistic effect and kind of struggle to find any info on this...

those ports are far too large. they need to be maybe a third of that.

If you add tubing to the other end you will increase airflow. Try starting with around 300mm long.
