In this episode, we continue with the new workshop build. I organise all of my tools and take delivery of a new lathe and a future project car. The walls and floor are painted to almost completion and the car lift is installed. Real work begins on the spray booth and the workshop really starts to take shape.

Oh yes, I forgot to add the video of the Colchester factory producing their lathes. Here it is:

"Getting possibly every tool that I can ever get but I think that it will never end" such truer words have never been spoken of!

It's been so long, almost forgot about the series, happy with your progress! I can feel the dust in my nose already

Lights that point up to illuminate the ceiling will help it feel brighter and more open, as well as slightly illuminating the areas the shop lights don't to cut down on dark areas and shadows (from reflection off the ceiling). you can probably just get some led shop lights, flip them over then attach them to the downward facing lights and wire them up together. Also those skylights will help a lot once you get them replaced.

colchesters are wonderful machines, we also love it here in austria. very precise machines. and it looks like the owner takes good maintandance.... no chuck crushed. no rust. sure the paint is gone.... but that says nothing about condition. beautiful beautiful machine! congrats m8, i learned on one of these 20 yrs ago.

Heavy traffic floor epoxy is my suggestion...strong water resistant easy to clean over...low maintenance and you wont be sorry 👍👍👍

Yes indeed, shop is coming on great. I work in a home garage, 30 sq. m. so pretty good really, but I think you are making a lot of us jealous! I have an E46 325Ci M Sport as a daily drive, and am restoring an 840Ci at present. Also have an E34 535i that I have done lots of work on but still needs finishing. It's never ending!

The extra lift in that corner would be a great addition, as you said yourself it's wasted space otherwise! It's great to see the workshop taking shape, I'd love a place like that myself some day. Looking forward to the next video, and seeing how these projects progress 😀
