Very similar personal situation as myself. I enjoyed the movie and watch it every now and then. I believe the Asians in this movie are Hmongs. Good people who were allied with us in the war. Eastwood in this movie was a Korean war vet "stacked fucks like you and used em for sandbags".

Gran Torino is a very good movie brother, and I don't watch many because Pedowood in general sucks.

Grand Torino is one of the most over rated movies of all time . . . Eastwood as a child was my hero but much like Al Pachino his acting skills have seriously deteriorated over the years . . . . he now belongs behind the camera and sadly no more in front of it . . . . I loved the Dirty Harry series but that was a different age . . . a different era . . . now you will not get an Oscar nomination for lifting a eyebrow or putting on a snarling face . . . . it guts me to say it . . . but Eastwood is fucking deadwood . . .  that scene of a weak flabby armed 75 year old man carrying a fridge up a flight of stairs . . . .
