Hard disagree with the second point. I love the dramatic look of long trousers or jeans that slightly cover a chunky boot / loafer. Way more interesting looking silhouette than those weird length mid ankle jeans, but thats just me.

i love the wide leg pants with a chunky boot! its just a specific style i guess. personally though i’d make it contrast even more with a small tight top so its extra bottom heavy
