This is a super minimal wireless follow focus system made with arduino, servo motor, NRF24L01 transceivers and a potentiometer.

Code:

Main components:
Arduino Nano (x2)
Servomotor (270° angle LewanSoul LD-3015MG)
10K Potentiometer
Resistor 100k
Capacitors 10nF, 10uF (x2), 220uF (x2)

Other electronic stuff:
Perforated PCB boards
Jumpers (male and female)
Switches (x2)
Battery Sony NP-F550 compatible
Battery socket (recycled from an old battery charger)
Battery 9V + connector
DC connectors (male and female)

Extra components:
Gears + Wheel (recycled from FF-125 Proaim)
1/4” Hot Shoe Adapter
1/4” male to famale adapter (x2)
Plastic boxes
M3 esagonal spacers
M3 screws
Velcro

Nice work) But maybe you need a stepper motor, the servos are very noisy.

Bravo, nice work !!! Mine is rougher but functionally equal.. I am thinking about implementing a distance measuring module like HY-SRF05 to make autofocus with vintage lenses like helios etc. The problem is external environmental noise that eventually spoils the precision of metering, next is a laser beam module on my list. Any ideas? Did you consider autofocusing your follow focus?

Wow. Im thinking about something like this but coupled with rotary encoder. Dolly zoom without powerzoom and second person to do it :)

Very nice. In the future i plan on doing something similar, if i find the time. Iwonder if this will work with a stepper NEMA motor too.

Can you build a pair of follow focus and zoom controlled at the same time? I need 3 pairs for my sports channel using iPhone as camera. Now that I want to level up by adding DOF adapter and proper lenses so I need manual focus and zoom

real 360° continuous rotation servomotors are a pita as there is NO feedback at all, i'm working on an autofocus system but heck, i might slap a neodymium magnet on the gear and use a linear hall sensor or something cuz rn its ridiculous

No!!! it must be wirh brushless motor, not with servo or stepper!!!!
