I'm Canadian and I don't know where or when I heard this but if you whistle at the norther lights spirits will rip of your hand and play with it. Idk if this is true I heard it from someone.

I only sing alone when I’m home alone, I never whistle though cause it scares me whistling while home alone, it gives me bad vibes. My one friend had a mental breakdown saying she sees these glowing white people with black smilee faces. She drew a picture of them and crumpled it. I took it home to throw in my burnable and the moment I got home I felt disturbed, like the house wasn’t mine.. I made a cross and put on a bracelet that has holy colors. I ripped the paper up and since the burnable wasn’t inside I put it in the garbage.

I whistled the other night to call the dogs back to me and was immediately hit with the familiar sound of the exact whistle that left my lips but not from me it was like someone recorded my whistle and played it back to me cuz i only whistled once i was freaked out when i heard whistling outside all night with the dogs periodically going nuts barking at what looked to he nothing its actually kinda freaky to think that if that was a skin walker then i was within 100 feet of it and was able to round up the dogs and lock the doors within seconds never been so freaked in my life
