Uncovering Hidden Treasures at a Dry Creek: A Rockhounding Expedition to Remember

Показать описание
Come along with Chopper and I as we journey back in time following an old dry creek bed. Take a look at the tumbled river rock eroding from the walls of gravel once home to flowing waters of another time. This dry creek is nothing short of a treasure in itself. Hidden throughout its gravels are rich hues of red, yellow, blue, green and even purple! Solid jaspers, dendritic and banded fortification agates as well as petrified and agatized wood cover the landscape. A piece of rockhound heaven in every direction.

Thank you for coming along this expedition and supporting me in my continued adventures. Rock on everyone!

No fair, I'm jealous! Can't believe the ones that you were just spraying off, you left! Drove me crazy! Lol... Just bring more buckets, girl! Ha!...Wish I lived in Montana. But we have beautiful rocks here in Utah as well. We just came back with some beautiful Agates, chalcedony & Jasper. Got some big rocks & many smaller ones for the tumbler. Wish I could send you pictures of them.

Oh I'm so glad your back!!!! Also you haven't lost your Montana Rock Whisperer abilities. You surely found some beauties in this trip. As always thanks for taking us along. I really needed this, for I've been recovering from a heart procedure last week and I needed something to get my rockhounding juices turned back on. Rock On!

I laughed when, at 3:16, you said "can you see the agate?" Yeah...I could see a bunch of agates, including the big one you picked up! You find all the great candy stores, kid!😋

That’s a really amazing place so envious of how many agates and petrified wood. We can find the same things in Scotland, but they’re tiny and normally found on the seashore….

Wow! You always find the absolute best jaspers! So colorful! Amazing! And the petrified wood is so awesome! Everything is brighter and more colorful, when you find it! And that TSA was just stunning! And that blue? That looked like it had been worked, like by native americans! All the montana agatized wood, is sime of the best in the country! And that yellow jasoer, with rheavate cener is just stunning! And tube agate seem to polish ok, but that one had more tubes than ive ever seen! Wow! Id take it, just for a conversation starter! Ive never seen a jasper with a quartz pocket before! That was awesome! Just some if the best finds! ❤ Thanks Kim!

I live in eastern WA. My dad and uncle were rockhounds. My dad always had a rock hammer in the car when we traveled. I'm wanting to get into the hobby now that we are settled down. Especially in an area that is so rich in beautiful rocks. Now to find areas like this one. Thanks for sharing.

You and chopper are livin’ the dream! I love your videos. You really know your stuff and seeing chopper get to run around free and be a good boy always warms my heart and makes me smile. I’m always amazed by the variety and sheer beauty of the rocks you find, as well as the abundance of cool specimens Montana has lying around. Thanks for sharing! Many blessings to you and chopper and the rest of your Montana family. Cheers.
