In this video, I show you a beginner friendly step-by-step process of how to draw a fashion figure using the 9 Head technique. This drawing tutorial can not only be used for fashion illustrations, but it can also be used to draw full body characters used in animation and character design. Understanding the human proportions is key to bringing your fashion and character ideas to life. Fashion figure blocks typically follow a 10 head or a 12 head technique, which creates an exaggerated or elongated look, however the 9 head technique tones it down to a more realistic look, but elongated enough to still be used as a fashion figure block or template.
