When he was commentating on the candidates along with David Howell, he essentially recommended doing this after a loss. I believe his exact words were, "Just say your piece and leave." And I can't blame him. Losing a chess game/match seems uniquely different to me than losses in team sports, for instance. When the players haven't even analyzed or processed their loss yet, it feels harsh to ask them a bunch of questions about how they feel.
