Mike Lee has proven himself to be one of the few politicians with integrity, honesty, and a true work ethic that benefits We the People over Big Gov tyrannical rule and those who are immoral and lust for power they weren’t granted.

Thus man deserves the utmost respect for his sincere assessment of democratic ideals. He is one of the keys for the potential unbreaking of the circle between Progressives, Libertarians and Eisenhower conservatives. His work on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee with Rand Paul, Bernie Sanders, Chris Murphy is truly inspiring and hopeful for world peace and domestic wellbeing. They are anti-partisan patriots.

This guy sounds pretty well versed in what every American thinks at least from time to time about the federal government. Its too bad there's not more congress people that think like him on that issue.

This talk being 4 years ago, I can see some truth and at the time could see why so so many people voted for Trump. Since then I’ve piled hundreds of hours of history against Trump and his Policies. Lee, like many times, did a good job on his speech.

His last remarks on not lumping many bills in one, I’m all for but in reality how can be possible.

Judging from the amount of coughing throughout this talk I would say Socialized Medicine is failing in England. My 2 pence.

its sad this didnt get more views. I liked that the chick brought up Flint...shows how ignorant people are of their own country..especially the "super smart ones" at British universities.

I would like to think that this guttersnipe would not have been invited had it been 18 months on from this date.

Interesting. Just recall always that this particular Senator is explaining/speaking from one unique (Libertarian) viewpoint. That the Constitution of the USA is debatable is the entire and only reason we have a Supreme Court--a referee to determine from time to time which viewpoint is "most correct". And, of course, those six counties he mentions DO house some 90, 000 Military and Defense (Private) Contractors. Just sayin'.

Loved the opening statement, but I knew it was downhill when he defended our current president while appearing to have heartburn. I will however admit, I do agree Flint Michigan's problems are due to the State Republican regulatory commissions to fix as they are the ones who caused the problems in the first place, except for the fact those State republican led commissions have proved they can't be trusted running the utilities.
I find the looming debt problem he mentions as being grave interesting especially given that republicans as a party now want to pass another massive tax cut without a reduction in overall spending.
Further I would have asked if he believed so fervently in federalism as an excuse to repeal the ACA, why should the federal government be regulating chemicals & crops such as marijuana which several of the States believe have medicinal properties? I think he would tap dance away from federalism argument real quick on that issue. Personally I see it as being the same as alcohol, I don't like either one anymore. Actually I know alcohol is worse as I've seen drunks fight but I've never seen a fight break out amongst people smoking wacky-tobacky.
As far as having a health service, it seemed as if his answer could be interpreted as we don't deserve to have a police force or military, as both are services just like the healthcare industry that most civilized first world governments provide for their constituents, you know, because provided services aren't rights. Maybe he should read our constitutions preamble. Seems to me government provided healthcare would promote the general welfare of our nation for now and in perpetuity.
So yes, great opening statement, but like all of us flawed humans, he's going to cherry pick which issues & how he will attempt to return to constitutionalism.

Senator what is your opinion on this is it that some got caught not acting in the best will of the people or does it bother them that I said it was something that needed to be looked at looked into discussed and some changes put into place to ensure these kinds of things don't happen to the American people or is it that some have to then focus on the things that they themselves have done all wielding the blame to one another and the focus being on travesties and who can subject others to fear and intimidation when all that needs to be done is a person to person conversation with somebody that doesn't want American people to suffer like some have suffered

This guy’s on Trump’s short list of possible nominees for the Supreme Court. Young, very conservative. Dangerous to progressive ideas.

It’s a great background to use for a politician, library and all, Reagan did the same, I ended up voting and actually sent money to Reagan. Big, big mistake.

Be on your guard, what he says about Democrats is exactly the same for Republicans. I tend to judge some on first impressions, when I purchased animals I look them in their eyes, I’ve been good at seeing brightness or attitudes. When I first seen
Lee’s eyes, I could see a darkness, this is probably a bad way to judge a human, but after learning more and especially he’s aligned with Trump, I’m against this Senator.
