I own both of these. For ME, the Ping is more forgiving. When I have good contact on both, the GT is longer, however, I hit more fairways with the Ping. Love the look and sound of the GT. I think if I spent more time with the GT it will stay in the bag. As it stands now, if I'm playing a meaningful round, the Ping is in the bag.

I went to a Grand Opening at a Golf Galaxy by me. I had no plans to turn in my TSR2 for the GT2😂. Well so much for plans. The GT2 with the Hazardous Black Shaft, I picked up 11 yards vs the TSR2, tighter dispersion with the GT2. I was impressed with the GT2 actually hitting it.

Tested 430, GT2, Ai Smoke and GT3 last week. Coming from TSR3, GT2 was much better on mishits and tighter dispersion. Pulled the pin on the GT2 and gamed it this morning for the 1st time. Results were as expected, very happy !

Can I point out the dispersion is miles better with the titleist here, dispersion is also front to back not just left to right its at least twice as good as the Pings oval.

I've played the TSR2 before and it was longer than the G430 MAX so not surprised the GT2 is slightly longer. I personally found the G430 MAX more of a fairway finder and went with that. Both great

How do the head weights compare? Ping is known for being heavier than most drivers. If that Ping head is 10 grams heavier than the Titleist, it would account for slower swing speed and short distance.

Have both; 10K = Audi - Reliable, GT = Porsche - much more fun to play and just looks, sounds and feels faster!

Cant stand the elongated head on the ping. Also the turbulators. Also the sound. Lol… own the tsr2. Love it. Its forgiving. If u r having a hard time w tsr2, honestly need to consider lessons rather than spending $700 on a “new forgiving driver”. Nothing can mitigate a bad swing.

I don't think this is really an accurate comparison for forgiveness. Any of the modern drivers will perform very well when struck out of the middle. Any of them would be within a few yards of each other when struck out of the middle with consistent AOA, clubhead speed and the like. Forgiveness is measured by how well they do on off center strikes. That's the more accurate test that should've been done. Intentionally hitting toe balls, heal shots, low heal, high toe so on and so forth.

I’ve hit some truly terrible shots with the 10k that somehow only lost 10 yards and is still in play. That said, I haven’t tried a GT2.

I own the GT2 but prefer the look of the Ping simply because I don't care for a glossy finish.

For me the Ping spun like a top, AiSmoke ar 9 degrees was so much better, the GT series were all better than the Ping, but didn’t improve on my AiSmoke. The Gt2 however is a beautiful golf club ascetically, Ping is a bit of an ugly duckling.
