🔶14 - Solving Piecewise Functions | Finding the Domain and Range of a Piecewise Function

In this video, we shall discuss how to find the domain and range of a piecewise function.

0. A piecewise function is a function defined by multiple sub-functions where each sub-function applied a different interval in the domain.
We shall solve two examples

1. A Constant function is a function that has the same range for different values of the domain. It is represented graphically as a straight line parallel to the x axis. It is express mathematically as f(x) = k, where k is a constant.
f(x) remains as k, irrespective of the value of x.
eg f(x) = 1 is a constant function that cuts through 1 on the y axis and is parallel to the x axis.

2. Step function is a function that increase or decrease suddenly from a constant value to another.

Hello Sir,
Please these are my solutions to the sample question.
Domain=(-2, 4]
Range=[5, 9)
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏.

Why do we have 3 and 8 when the inequality is not (inclusive)>= or<= ?
