I love how Sam’s eyes flicker when his identity disc is activated (1:42), a great touch to the scene.. Really an underrated movie!!

The staging/choreography of this scene, especially synched to the music, is super fucking cool. I love how their mechanical movements are perfectly timed to the beat and the part where they all step to the side in unison, rotating slightly around him to give the camera a better shot, was a beautiful choice. The way the armor kind of stutters in while it "loads" was also a great visual choice. This whole movie is an excellent example of how to combine the visual and auditory aesthetics in a way that's deeply satisfying. The plot and writing was mostly mediocre and the characters are very one-dimensional but the striking visuals and score make it a very pleasing movie to watch.

Interestingly, when the Sirens complete their task in outfitting him for the Games and walk back to their places, the scene itself as they did so was actually them walking forward but reversed.

This is because the tight suits and the high heels made it difficult enough to walk in synchronization but walking backwards while doing so was too difficult so they reversed them walking forward to get the intended effect

Getting all of the siren actresses to move in sync with each other and to the music must've taken so many takes. Props to everyone who was in this movie and who made this movie possible

This movie is cool. As a kid seeing this was a cinematic masterpiece, to open up the young minds of a generation. I enjoyed every bit of it. Made me want to live where his dad was staying. So peaceful with the universe.
