Welcome to this English lesson about fruit and fruit idioms. Now I know you probably already know the names of different types of fruit in English so in this free English class I will help you learn the basic vocabulary and teach something a little more challenging at the same time.

I will help you learn the names of different types of fruit, and to also teach you some common English idioms that have fruit vocabulary in them at the same time.

So welcome to this lesson where I'll review the names of some common fruit, and I'll teach you some fruit idioms!

In this lesson you'll learn fruit names like kiwi, apple, orange, strawberry, banana and more. You'll also learn the meaning of English idioms like: comparing apples to oranges, cherry-pick, to go bananas, the Big Apple and more!

I hope you enjoy this English lesson about fruit and fruit idioms!

⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

Hi Bob! I like eating pizza with pineapple too 😄 It surprised me the use of "melon" to refer to "head", because in my country (Spain) we use that word in the same way sometimes. We also call it "coco" (coconut). There is one expression "No te comas el coco" (Don't eat the coconut) that means "do not to think a lot about something". Thank you for this amazing channel 🥰

Hi Bob! I love your videos. They are very helpful. I have two questions "peel the banana/apple" or "skin the banana/apple" and "crack the shell of the nut/egg" or "break the shell of the nut/egg" Thanks :) Happy English learning :)

Dear Bob. Nutritionists say that you'd better eat the whole fruit than drink its juice because juice is only water and sugar. Whole fruit contains fiber so sugar is assimilated slowly and doesn't harm your body as bad as in juice. Take care 🙌

Bob, Svetlana stated the whole fruit is better than its juice. The whole fruit is healthy but the juice is pressed out from the fruit and you can digest its tiny molecules much better.
