No such thing as a nvidia shield substitute. They are one of a kind and have been for over 2 years. Hope this clears things up

It's a good box, but despite Mecool's claims, this box is NOT Google certified. No Mecool products are. It's thought they use cloned certificates.
If you want a proper Google certified box you only have the Nvidia Shield or the Xiaomi Mi box.
